In the coming years around 2020, the speed of the electric vehicle in India has started to grow. Electric bike companies are also gearing up with car companies. An Indian company launches its electric bike, which will set a distance of 130 Km in single charging.
Coimbatore based electric vehicle startup Gugu Energy has curtailed its electric bike. The Company has introduced Gugu R-SUV, Which looks like an adventure scooter, but in reality, it is an electric bike. A windscreen is also provided to avoid air on highway.
According to the manufacturer, the low range variant will take 6.5 seconds to catch speed 0 to 100 km per hour and the top speed will be around 100 km per hour. At the same time, its battery will take the time of 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
At the same time, the long-range variant will take 3 seconds approximately to attain the speed of 100 km per hour from 0. It has the top speed of 145 km per hour. The battery will take around 45 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
According to the company, the bike has been designed and developed in-house by the manufacturer. These will include the infotainment system and battery pack. The company claims that its battery supports fast charging and can cover the distance up to 8 lakh km. The company has a 5-inch touchscreen input system with built-in GPS, wheel diagnostic feature in its bike. Apart from this, the Company is also in plan to provide real-time traffic updates.
The price of Low range variant of Gugu R-SUV is around 1.25 lakhs and the price of long-range variant is around 3 lakhs rupees. The company has received around 5000 booking order for SUV-R bikes so far.
