Recently Harley Davidson has introduced its full-electric motorcycle under the flagship of Livewire. Harley Davidson took 5 years to build the full-fledged electric motorcycle under the name of Harley Davidson Live wire. The all-new Harley Davidson Livewire bike has been listed in the Harley Davidson’s official website. The all-new Harley Davidson Live wire is expected to get launch here in India around 2020.
The all-new Harley Davidson Livewire is made from a cast aluminum frame which is light. Showe monoshock is used in the rear and along with it, Showa gets a big-piston fork, which is completely adjustable. In addition, 300 mm twin disks have been provided in motorcycles.
The electric motor in the bike generates the power of 104.6 bhp and maximum torque of 116 Newtons of torque. It is being claimed that this bike will catch the speed of 0-100kmph in just 3.5 seconds with the help of Rapid Acceleration. Once charged, this bike can set a distance of 235 km.
The all-new Harley Davidson Live Wire has a 15.5 kWh high voltage lithium-ion battery which will be given in the middle. Harley Davidson needs to charge 1 hour for a distance of 21 km for this bike, and accordingly, it will take a full night to charge the battery fully.
The all-new Harley Davidson Livewire is a connected motorcycle. It has been given the LTE- enabled modem which will connect all Live wire motorcycles to the cloud. The rider can get all the information needed by using the H-D app on the smartphone. The H-D connect service will be offered for a one-year free trial period with the purchase of a new livewire bike and after that subscription fees will be charged. In the H-D app, there will be tampered alerts, vehicle theft tracking, motorcycle status, service reminder notification, and other facilities.
Speaking about the features, all-new Harley Davidson Live Wire includes 4.3-inch color TFT touch screen, Reflex Defensive Rider system, Anti-lock braking system, Corner Enhanced Traction Control, Drag-torque slip control system, 7 different riding modes, Daymaker LED headlamps, H-D connect, etc.
Speaking of the price, the ex-showroom price of all-new Harley Davidson Livewire has priced to $ 29,799 (which is approximately around Rs 20.43 lakhs). The bike will soon be launched in the selected markets in USA, Europe, and Asia. It is expected that this bike can be launched in the market at the end of 2019 or at the starting of 2020.
