The motorcycles of Yamaha XSR family’s retro classic bikes are very popular due to their unique classic design and the superior blend of modern powerful engines. Yamaha has launched a new bike XSR 155 in this motorcycle range. The Yamaha XSR 155 cell company has started in Thailand, where it has been priced at 91,500/- Thai Baht ( Rs. 2.1 lakh Indian rupees).
It is believed that the company will launch it soon in the rest of the International markets, where there is a high demand for bikes in the low-capacity segment. In such a situation, India automatically looks at the top of the list, where buyers like compact retro classic machines. It remains to be seen whether Yamaha believes the same or not, and by when this motorcycle will be brought to India. The new XSR 155 bike is based on the Yamaha YZF- R15 V3 platform.
The company has also designed the first MT-15 street fighter on this base. In such a situation, if Yamaha wants to launch this bike in India, then manufacturing of this retro classic motorcycle can be easily done here in India. The new XSR 155 from MT 15 with Thailand’s specification has taken the chassis, inverted telescopic front focus, rear mono-shock, engine, and many components. Speaking about the design, it has a round LED headlamp and dual-tone fuel tank.
The new XSR 155 bike will come with 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which gives improved power of up to 19 bhp and torque of 14.7 Nm. This motorcycle has a 6-speed gearbox. Speaking about the other equipment, the bike gets dual-channel ABS, alloy wheels, digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps and sleeper clutch. The initial price of the bike here in India is expected to be around Rs. 1.5 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
