Renault recently launched an electric version of its new facelift KWID at the launch in China. But now the company are in plan to launch this car in India. The electric version of Renault Kwid is quite different from its petrol version.
Renault Launched Kwid under the name of City K-ZE, so it is certain that the company will launch the car in India as well with the same name. The electric Kwid concept was already showcased in 2018. The Government of India is engaged in full-focus on an electric vehicle.
It is expected that Kwid City K-ZE can be launched in India by the end of this year or by January 2020. But before the launch of Kwid City K-ZE, it will launch the facelift version of Renault Kwid in India, which may be scheduled to be launch before Diwali. Recently, Renault launched Triber in India.
The company claims that the Kwid City K-ZE will cover the distance of 271 Km on a full charge. It has a 26.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack which gives 43.3 bhp and 125Nm torque. The car is built on the CMF-A platform that is also found in Kwid sold in India. The specialty of this car is its battery and a new electric powertrain.
KWID City K-ZE is better in terms of mileage, as well as fast charging is also available in this car. The car’s battery supports both AC and DC fast charging. A DC charger can increase the battery from 30 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. Speaking about the features, the car has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that you can connect with a smartphone. The price of KWID City K-ZE has been kept around 61,800 yuan which is near to 6.22 lakh Indian rupees. But according to experts, the price of KWID City K-ZE is expected to be around Rs. 10 Lakh. Yet the launch date of KWID City K-ZE in India has not been revealed yet.
