Prior to the launch of Hyundai Venue, Maruti’s Vitara Brezza was the most popular car in the sub 4 metres was the most popular car in the sub 4 metre SUV (less than 4 metres long) segment. After this Brezza’s sales declined after the launch of the Creta SUV and Mahindra XUV 300 and the rank of the car dropped from the number 1 position.
The new Brezza will get updated exteriors to give this popular SUV a fresh look. The car will get new bumpers and fog lamps in the front.
There will be some changes visible in the SUV interior. The new car will have a smart play studio infotainment system. Bosch-sourced Smart play unit is offered in the current model.
The current model offers a 1.3-litre diesel engine of the Fiat. Now the company will not upgrade its petrol engine as per the BS6 norms. The all-new Vitara Brezza will be given 1.5-litre K15 four-cylinder petrol engine used in Ciaz and Ertiga. This engine will be equipped with the SVHS mild-hybrid technology.
The all-new Maruti Vitara Brezza will be equipped with the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic unit. The car’s motor output produces 104.7ps and peak torque of 138Nm.
Hence, there is no official announcement regarding the launch of the car, but it is expected to get launch by February 2020 during the Auto Expo.
