Recently Indian Motorcycles has officially launched its two different versions of motorcycles under the flagship of FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica in the Indian market. The booking of both the versions of Motorcycles has been started.
The delivery of the bikes is expected to be delivered to the buyers around April 2019. The bike can be booked by depositing 2 lakh at the authorized Indian Motorcycles Dealership available across India.
The design of the bike is inspired by the design of the FTR 750 racing bike, which won the racing championship series in 2016 held at the United States of America. FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica were first showcased at 2017 EIMCA event.
As the design of the FTR 1200 S bike is inspired by FTR 750 racing bike, due to which it provides the best handling with the upright position. The bike provides excellent comfort for long distance travelers. Pro Taper Flat Tracker Aluminium handle bars which makes it attractive to look and providing maximum comfort.
Indian FTR is based on 1200 trail-frame and inverted front suspension with radial Brembo brake. The design of the bike is made keeping the racing enthusiasts in mind. The fuel tank is placed under the seat for keeping Centre of Gravity down. The air box is placed above the engine in order to make proper air flow.
The FTR 1200 will come with 4.3-inch touchscreen instrument console, on which various information regarding the about the bike performance can be viewed by the rider. Along with rear arm, the suspension has also been designed similar to the FTR 750 racing bike.
Indian Motorcycles version FTR 1200 will come with the 1203-cc V-Twin engine, which will generate power of 120 PS and the peak torque of 115 nm. The compression ratio of the engine of FTR 1200 will be around 12.5:1 between the high-flow cylinder head and the dual throttle body. In order to keep engine weight to best possible minimum value, magnesium is used in many parts of the engine. The Bike will come with 3 riding modes for better control-Sport, Standard, and Rain. Bosch 6-axis commercial sensor is present which sends data to the bike’s central unit.
The price FTR 1200 S is expected to be around RS. 14.99 lakh and FTR 1200 S Race Replica is little costlier and the price is expected to be around RS. 15.49 lakh.
