India’s renowned automobile manufacturing company has recently revealed to the facelift version of its popular hatchback Tata Tiago. The facelift version of Tata Tiago has been recently seen on roads during testing. Many changes will be seen in the all-new Tata Tiago facelift.
Instead of the new Tata Tiago platform, the company’s premium hatchback will be based on the ALFA platform with Tata Ultras. Tata’s ALFA Platform is safer than the old platforms. The all-new Tata Tiago facelift’s new design will come with Language impact 2.0.
It is also believed that facelift can come with Tata Tiago Hybrid and Electric motor. It is expected that the all-new Tata Tiago will not come with the Diesel engine because the company has not planned to update the 1.0-litre diesel engine in accordance with BS 6 norms. The all-new Tata Tiago will initially come with a 1.2-litre petrol engine. Later it will get the hybrid/ electric option.
Due to low demand, Tata Motors has planned not to update its 1.0-litre Diesel engine according to BS 6 norms. In the current situation, only 20 per cent of Diesel cars are selling in the market. But after the updation of the Diesel engine to BS 6 norms, the price of the car will increase to 1 to 2 lakh rupees, which will lead to the decline of sales of the diesel variant.
The all-new Tata Tiago facelift will have 1.2-litre petrol engine which generates the power of 85 hp and the torque of 114Nm. The engine will be equipped with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission. This gasoline engine will be compatible with BS 6 criteria. Due to the new platforms and BS6, the price of all-new Tata Tiago facelift is expected to increase. The all-new Tata Tiago facelift is expected to be launched in the Auto Expo 2020.
