Renowned automobile Hyundai’s recently launched Hyundai Venue, which will be the first subcompact SUV in India, which will come with a new dual-clutch automatic transmission besides 33 connected features. Hyundai Venue will be in competition with Brezza, Nexon and XUV300, which are the most successful models in India. Hyundai has already declared that all-new Venue will be India’s first connected car and will come with Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission (DCT).
Hyundai India has recently introduced its BlueLink Connected Car Technology and the company has already announced that all-new Hyundai Venue will come with Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission (DCT). In fact, there is no other SUV in this segment above the sub-compact space, which will be equipped with this feature. Mahindra XUV 300 still has yet to get an automatic transmission. The AMT gearbox has been given to Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon, and a torque converter unit is available at Ford Ecosport. Hence, the DCT is most likely to be refined and very fast, which will increase the performance of Hyundai Venue and will prove as a game changer.
However, Hyundai did not invest in the renewed gearbox for Venue only. The Korean car manufacturer is expecting more business due to this new gearbox. Apart from this, the DCT gearbox will make its way into other Hyundai models and will be included in the position cars like Creta, Verna, Elantra and Tuscon, especially on the Hyundai Venue.
Apart from the 1.4-litre and diesel engine, the new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine can be provided in all-new Hyundai Venue. Hyundai will also offer a manual transmission in addition to the automatic Dual-Clutch automatic transmission which will be standard in all the range. However, there is no clarity in the fact that the manufacturer will give the DCT gearbox in which variant. More information will be revealed about the all-new Hyundai Venue on upcoming April 17.
