Hyundai Venue 2020

Hyundai Venue is a sub-4m SUV launched in 2020 in the Indian market with a choice of three BS6 engine options: two petrol and one diesel. 1.2-litre petrol engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and harvests 83PS/114Nm. Petrol engine is offered in E, S and S+ variants of the Venue. This sub-4-meter SUV directly competes with Kia Seltos’ 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 100PS/240Nm. Only drawback to this engine is that it is not offered with an automatic option. Hyundai has also equipped Venue with a brand-new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which has an output of 120PS/171Nm. This engine is only available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and is offered from the S variant onwards. This turbo-petrol engine also has 6-speed iMT that has a manual shifter but no clutch pedal and is extra reasonable than a conventional automatic choice.

Hyundai’s Venue is all set to compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite and Kia Sonet in sub-4m SUVs segment. Hyundai has also launched the new iMT option on turbo-petrol variants along with the Sport Trim package and a new variant for the 1.2-litre petrol engine as well.
